Spirit UM FAQ
Can my child fly Spirit with a layover?
No. Spirit only allows unaccompanied minors on nonstop flights. If your route requires a connection, you'll need to use a different airline like Delta or American (ages 8+).
Is Spirit a good choice for UMs?
Spirit works well if you have a nonstop route and want to save on the base ticket price. However, their fee is the same as legacy carriers ($150), so compare total costs.
Does Spirit have UM lounges?
No. Spirit does not have dedicated UM lounges or Sky Zone-style waiting areas like Delta. Children wait at the gate with supervision.
